Actually, this rose is one of my strongest. I don´t proctect it at all and it dosen´t die back at all in Winter. I don´t know what climate zone Reykjavík belongs to compaired to other countries. I don´t think it has been studied well enough but in general plants that grows in center and northern scandinavia grows here too.
