This rose has been extremely vigorous and hardy for me. No dieback at all.

This rose does not sucker as opposed to Geschwinds rose.

Thank you for that Altora. I have added “Does not sucker” to the description for ‘Gem of the Prairies’. Its very close lookalike ‘Geschwinds Orden’ already carries “will sucker” on its description and it appears we now have a clear characteristic to tell the difference.

A good plant. At the first flowering the flowers are slightly pink, in the following they are very white. Good for pegging down.No fragrance.

This is an upright, arching shrub for me, does not sucker.
