Laurette Messimy does not age to white. This seems mislabeled. Which nursery?

Hi, I got your comment through email notification.
The rose nursery this came from was Chamblee's, I'm sure, because it's the only one I use - or else someone rooted it for me. Possibly it could be something besides Laurette but I think that's what it was - it actually was a pretty fresh bloom and though the photo doesn't show it, it's pale pink rather than pure white - I am sure I blew out the highlights in the camera when taking that photo. Pale pink and shades of white are typical of fresh Laurette blooms.

I checked the pictures on the websites of the US nurseries listed on the "Buy From" tab, and it sems that only the Antique Rose Emporium has what I think is the real 'Laurette Messimy'. It should really look like the photo on the Wills card Billy Teabag has posted - salmon-pink with yellow undertones. Yours and the others looks like a china allright, maybe 'Unermüdliche'.

BTW - I believe I do have what Countryside, Ashdown, and Rozanna are calling Laurette. Whether that's the real Laurette, I have no clue -
Thanks for your information. Sis

Yes Jedmar, I agree with you. Almost alle the pictures from US plants show a China, but as you say, it's 'Unermüdliche', not 'Mme Laurette Messimy'.

I think that is unlikely. The rose in commerce here has China like foliage, something I cannot say for Unermüdliche.

The question is whether we are talking about the same 'Unermüdliche'. Does it exist at all in America? I have added a photo of the version we have where you can see the foliage.

It doesn't look like a rose.

Is that a comment or a question? It is a rose. It's Perle d'Or. Do you have this rose yourself? It's quite unusual.

If you go look at the photo right before this one, you can see the button eye. The photo was taken right before the petals folded down. I can see why you would think it's not a rose but you are incorrect.
