What does the term "Explorer Rose" mean? I have just purchased a Martin Frobisher and am trying to determine where to put it in my yard.

The name "Explorer" refers to a series of roses developed at agriculture field stations in Canada and recommended for being cold hardy and reasonably trouble-free. They are all named after early Canadian explorers. (William Baffin, Martin Frobisher, Henry Kelsey, etc. etc.) I guess it's a little late to help you decide where to put it, but as much sun as possible is a good bet.
