Hello Kim ...

Kim, you had posted on the RHA forum of having cuttings available to you of Goldmarie, I had previously grown this rose and would love to again acquire it for breeding purposes... could you kindly drop me a line regarding this, possibly with an email address ... thanks!

Hi Terry, Goldmarie grows at my sister's house about twenty miles north of me. I am planning to be up there later this week and should be able to take cuttings. I doubt if she's pruned anything with her schedule. My email is roseseek@aol.com . Please let me know and we'll make it happen. Thanks. Kim

Hello Kim,

I think I'm just about ready to move to a warmer climate, it was such a very long and snowy winter and now a delayed spring. Usually, at this time I have the water lilies set out in the pond and am pretty much ready to begin planting roses, heck the backyard is still deeply covered in snow ... but, the big melt is finally on and it won't be long before I'm back it, I know it’s ridiculous to endure such long winters.
I'm really looking forward to this summer’s rose breeding work, especially now that I've had a bit of success with a few selections, two in particular are most promising and I'll use these further in my breeding work. Of course, roses must be extremely hardy to survive and thrive in zone 3 without protection, though that does not deter me too much and I'm most thankful for some of the very hardy roses that have enabled my work.

Please do let me know if you’d like some budwood of climbing Goldmarie in exchange for the floribunda version?

Regards,
Terry
