Also available at Palatine roses. This rose has been extremely healthy, disease resistant, and hardy for me. A good re-bloomer too.

Thank you for your recommendation Karen. I bought 6 bare root plants last Winter and they are doing wonderfully.. healthy, bushy and vigorous and no black spot. They have bloomed all through Spring and Summer so far. They are such easy care plants. They have just had a mid-summer prune because they threw out some long spreading canes and they are covered in buds again. My favourites.

I am sure you can get 'Margo Koster' in South Australia Miss Nomer. Actually ring your big nurseries and ask them if they stock it. If you have problems, I could send you cuttings of what came to me as 'Margo Koster'. There were many 'Dick Koster' sports and the colours were fairly close to each other, but I am fairly confident mine is 'Margo Koster'. It has grown well here on a heavy acid loam. Patricia

Thank you so much Patricia! I have enquired locally and am emailing all the rose nurseries I can think of, plus the sa rose society. I would love to try some cuttings, you are very kind, but I am very new at roses, and at gardening in general, and would have no idea what to do with them, unfortunately. I will probably be better off trying to buy one already started!

OK. I can't really get out there to pick you cuttings anyway at the moment. But if you can't find it, and you would still like it, there is always next winter for cuttings. The Heritage Rose Group in South Australia are some of the best people around to teach you all you need to know about taking cuttings. Enjoy the roses. They will steal your heart away. Patricia

I don't have the Catalogue of Thomas for Roses (at Woodside), but they have a range of polyanthas. The one in the Heritage Roses Collection at Renmark was cutting-grown from Ruston's plant. If you can't find one for sale we may be able to grow one for you.

Thanks, I checked Thomas for Roses first as they are near where I live. They haven't heard of it. Everyone else so far have said it is not available in Australia. If you do grow one one day I would love it! PS apologies to the owner of this photo for monopolising the comment section!!

Are you aware when you view the full size photo you can click on the plant name to go to that plant page to learn more about the plant.

Okay, we hate to take these things for granted - sometimes we're very surprised.
