I purchased Easy Spirit because it was only $17 and I figured it might be a good filler rose for bouquets. However, I've been taken with its surprisingly large, silky cream blooms. They are so pretty and also have a decent tea fragrance, which I didn't expect. So far, it's been easy care, but I'll see how to does over the coming winter and into next spring.

Princesse Charlene certainly is regal, with a sturdy, upright habit, healthy bright-apple-green foliage, and blushed apricot blooms. A hint of yellow in the center gives them an ethereal quality. The petals/blooms are more substantial than the David Austin roses I own, so they are slow to shatter and don't shrivel in the heat of summer. When fully opened, the flat blooms look like little ballerinas dancing atop the long stems. Her divine fragrance is a mixture of champagne, soft old rose, clementine, candied ginger, and apricot.
This is a rose that looks beautiful in all its photographs, but is still lovelier in person. It's enchanting.
Mine is own-root from Heirloom Roses, planted in-ground three months ago where it receives more than 10 hours of daily sun. It took off straight away, but has looked it's best in the past 2-3 weeks, as have most of the roses I planted in the spring. Though I've had it for a short time, Princesse Charlene has withstood heavy late-spring rains, regular high winds, and my hot/dry summer with no problems (so far). I'll update my review after it's gone through winter (7b).

My husband purchased Fiesta on a whim at Home Depot, calling me to tell me of his purchase. After seeing the photos online, I thought, "this is the ugliest rose I've ever seen." To be fair, he'd seen blooms in person, but the plant he brought home was full of unopened buds. Our garden is mostly pastels: soft pinks, yellow/creams, apricots, whites, purples and blues. Though I feared Fiesta would be an eyesore, I'm glad I kept these concerns to myself. :)
It's definitely a statement rose and commands attention with the ever-changing colors of the blooms. It's fascinating how they transition from deep gold to electric orange/pink to apricot and pink to a soft cream with pink edges.
The foliage is deep glossy green and exceptionally healthy. It's not particularly thorny. So far, no disease issues, and its heat tolerance is quite good in our very hot and dry summer climate (7b). The bloom longevity is exceptional, and the scent is light and pleasant, though unremarkable. It's a very nice rose overall.

I'm in the US, so I've only had this rose for a few months, planted in partial shade. So far, the blooms open pure white in my dry-heat climate, with no hint of apricot or pink. Perhaps those shades will come through in the autumn.
