Hi,

I'm new to HMF, and I just uploaded a huge list of roses we have in our garden at Mesa Community College in Arizona. I'm having trouble navigating the site, so I'm hoping some of you experts might be able to help me.

It's difficult to look at all 500+ varieties when only 25 show up per page. Is there a way to show more items per page, like 100 or "all"?

I would also like to download a complete list of all the varieties in our garden along with the descriptions, parentage, etc. so I can update our records with the most current information. This list could be a text file, csv, or whatever. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!

We currently have two files:
Rose Garden at Mesa Community College - no roses listed.
The Rose Garden at Mesa Community College -587 roses listed.
I will try and merge these two files. Which is the correct name please?

As for that list, I doubt if that is possible and I know the person who would handle that type of query is taking a well-earned break for a month or so right now. Can anyone else help Sean in the meantime?

"The Rose Garden" is the correct name, so please keep that one.

Is there any way I can get in touch with that person when they are back?

It would be possible to dump those details with the right SQL queries on the database. Without knowing how it's structured I don't know how tricky the process might be, and therefore how much a tech might think the process is worth as a custom request, but it can certainly be done.

Raw database dumps are generally not the easiest things for the average person to read, though. Getting it into a friendlier format would be a bit more work, but any decent code editor would be able to handle it.

Sean - yes of course. See SITE FEATURES (top left), then CONTACT US (top right).
If it may be a tricky process as Give me caffeine suggests, I wouldn’t bank on it (and thank you Give me caffeine. Your always valuable support is not only financial)

Sean, in the event that you have to make your own listing, you might like to search out a photo in my Garden Photos for an example of a bed map I made for my garden. (Sorry I am unable to post a link here) I managed to fit in the rose name, class, seed parent & date x pollen parent & date, breeder, country & date, provenance, the year I planted it, and the site within my garden. I like to print out an updated version about once a year, so dated pages are most important.
