'Blanc Double de Coubert' has pretty good fall foliage color. And it's perfectly winter-hardy here. Photo taken 24 November 2023. Iowa, Zone 5b.

Despite an ungainly habit and questionable winter-hardiness, 'Madame Isaac Pereire' is an irresistible rose. Richly scented, with notes of damask, raspberry, and clove. Trained as a short climber on an obelisk, in a sheltered position. Purchased from A Reverence for Roses (which I highly recommend) last year. Photo taken 4 June, 2022. Iowa, Zone 5b.

'Souvenir du Dr Jamain' is almost completely thornless, save for a few small prickles at the base of each cane. A joy to work around!

Good foliage, and clearly very hardy -- it was a harsh winter. No scent. It appears that 'Ernst Dörrell' would benefit from being trained as a climber. Photo taken on 12 June 2022 at Freedom Gardens (Portage County, Ohio), Zone 5b.

My 'La Reine' is often more carmine-pink than a lot of the photos on HMF. Lovely scent, good upright habit -- still quite narrow -- and mostly healthy foliage. This is the third flush in her second year here. Not as winter-hardy as the neighboring 'Mrs John Laing', but recovered well. 7 September 2022. Iowa, Zone 5b.
