Evelyn blooms in cluster in spring time. It's very healthy in my alkaline clay (pH 7.7) as 5th-year own-root, with glossy and shiny foliage. During spring time with lots of acidic rain, I mulch with horse manure (has lime, pH 8), and alfalfa-meal (pH 5.8, NPK 2.7-1-2).
