Dawson in bloom in the Eden Hills of central Kentucky (Z6b). This rose blooms here in mid- to late-May at about the same time as Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia). This plant is in its 6th growing season and is over 8 feet tall and 20 feet wide.

One-year growth of "Kiftsgate" attached to side of a building. The cane died in its second year after growing about 20 feet up into a Black Locust tree. USDA Zone 6b.
