Hi, I made a donation/transaction to have premium membership a bit ago, but I do not see it reflected yet. Does it take a little while to take effect? I'd appreciate guidance. Thank you kindly.

The black star on red against your name denotes that you are a premium member. If you are not able to access some of the functions, try signing out and sign in again. Sometimes existing cookies are the issue.

Thanks! I could see the star but only in some pages and in others not, i.e. in my uploaded photos in my profile, I had the star, but then if I looked at my comments on a rose entry, no star) I did sign in and out 3 times, to no avail.
But whatever the case I'm all set now. I'm able to see lineages which is what I wanted. I did not clear cookies, for what is worth.
I'm actually thinking that the premium membership might activate/deactivate at midnight. The first time it worked was on my post-midnight night-shift break when I picked up my phone. This actually would make a lot of sense considering you get an explicit expiration date and because the systems my job uses for customers work that way lol. Upon non payment service gets suspended at midnight on due date, if they want to suspend temporarily it will take effect at midnight, etc. this is for billing purposes in my job's context, but I guess in hmf context it might be simply the way things are coded...

Out of curiosity, who is Lupe, after whom it was named?

Others may chime in here.
Mel said it was named after one of the maintenance workers. I can't remember Lupe was paid, or a volunteer.
A great many open pollinated seedlings germinate at SJHRG each season, Mel said, via bird droppings.
This just happened to be one Mel took note of and decided to propagate.

Same as Blue Dress. Should be AKA for each other?

The Japanese text for 'Blue Dress' says that it is distinct from 'Turn Blue'

There are a couple other roses the have a very similar look. Besides the aforementioned Turn Blue and Blue Dress, there's Grawn Blue and Blue Gravity. I believe I'm possibly missing another one. I assume that at least one of them must be a synonym of another, cause I do see the topic pull up now and then, but there is indeed a lot of confusion on which would be a synonym of which.
I've noticed for years that Grawn Blue does not have an hmf page. I've been aware of these varieties which are just now creeping up in the West's knowledgesphere for a good while.
I could see 'Grawn Blue' being a deformation of 'Gown Blue', meaning of course blue gown aka blue dress. I also remember reading a Facebook poster commenting that 2 in this group were synonyms, but cannot for the life of me find the evidence to say which and which lmao.
Grawn apparently is an actual word, which means cereal, grain, or maize. Perhaps the actual intention of the name is something like 'cornflower blue', if it is a separate variety indeed. Do you happen to know anything about it?
