Pam-Anela Messenger has been practicing landscape architecture in the San Francisco area for over forty years. Her professional experience began with some of the Bay area’s most distinguished landscape architects and planners, most notably Garrett Eckbo. Since 1979, she has been in private practice as well as a design consultant for numerous landscape architecture and planning firms. She has also been an instructor in landscape architecture for the University of California, Berkeley. Her photography and writing have been published in Landscape Architecture, Pacific Horticulture, Landscape Design, Eden, Landscape Australia and on the Internet at musingsofagardenlover.blogspot.com.
Currently her work focuses on restoration of historic gardens, particularly those of Thomas Church.
