Just a gardener with a passion for beauty in roses, taste in herbs, and health in community organic gardening. Have a son who has moved May 2011 into an older home (Sylmar, near LA, CA) with so many treasures of older rose beauties - most unlabeled. Hoping to learn more about the treasures his garden contains. Perhaps a CA long time gardener might like to consider answering queries about CA rose treasures. Have just begun checking into Paul Zimmerman's forum on roses. Had joined Help Me Find i Feb 2010 to locate my 81 year old mother's desire to grow KORDES PERFECTA near Santa Barbara, CA.
Lives in MI where only the hardy roses survive the temp extremes.

Interests: Blogging, Writing, Organic vegetable and herb growing. Quite weary of common pests that chomp on beautiful vegetables and flowers.
Beginning to grow clematis again. Now that current abode has some sun.
