This is one of my favorite roses and should be more widely grown. Although it does get a little blackspot, it doesnt lose leaves. It makes a bushy shrub that covers itself in hot pink frilly blooms all the time. It is very easy to root. It is one of the first to bloom and last to quit. It is a workhorse of a rose and is highly recommended.

My Star of the Republic is now 3 years old. It is a beautiful arching shrub, very healthy, with luscious peach colored blooms with a scent that I love. It should be more widely grown and has become one of my favorites.

I bought it last year - it is still in a pot but growing well. Just had its first bloom, which is lovely and ruffled like the photo. To me, it has a bit of an apricot tinge, not pure pink. The bloom is small, but the plant is very young. It is very healthy, no blackspot, and I think it will really take off when I get it planted in the ground. So far....I like it!

One of the most beautiful roses I have seen - apricots are my favorite. Gorgeous color, huge ruffled blooms - marvelous! Cant comment on disease resistance as the plant is too young, but I am ordering several more just on the beauty of the bloom.
