This is a delightful rose which blooms constantly. The blooms are a lovely velvety red which darkens with age. Long lasting in a vase.

Do you have any more information on this rose, it looks beautiful. Would it work in a no-spray garden? Thanks, Karen

Hi Karen - I don't spray my garden and this rose has been fine this summer. I don't have more info but I'm sure if you sent a msg. to Select Roses (listed under "Buy From"), they would be able to tell you more.

I love this rose. It is very healthy in my zone 9B no spray garden. It is an easy keeper under our current drought conditions.

Jackson & Perkins site says it has a strong pear fragrance. Your post says none to mild. I'd like to hear from growers for their comment on the aroma.

In this case, the information on the rose page came from the registration material submitted by J & P to the ARS.

I have this rose and love it. Mine has a strong fruity fragrance.

Mine just started blooming and I would categorize the fragrance as a medium, delicious fruity scent. This is a gorgeous rose, starting out a deep orange and fading to salmon pink. The stems are strong enough to hold the large blooms upright. In our garden showing incredible disease resistance!

Our Sedona has a wonderfully rich fruity fragrance. It is also one of the most beautiful flowers of all the plants in our rose collection. Healthy, vigorous, and generous with huge, long lasting blooms. We're going to get another next spring. Wonderful!

Im in southern california and my Sedona has almost no smell. This is its 3rd year and this spring i happened to notice a very light fragrance. but now that its getting hot, its scentless again ????♀️

I wonder how different this is from Rock & Roll? It looks very similar, but perhaps somwhat pinker.

From what I can tell, it is a few things different.
1. Somewhat taller, more linear. 2. Blooms are fuller. While walking in Washington Park, I heard a group of women exclaim, "Ohhhh. Its like a peony!" 3. The color is pretty but slightly more dull.
andddd 4. Basing upon what I saw in gardens and nurseries, it is possibly a healthier plant.
Personally, I am sticking to the classic, 'Scentimental' :D

I'm pleased to see that HMF is back on the web. A nice birthday-present! It must have been a heck of a job for the webmaster(s); for a lot seemed lost and didn't work. Thank You for all Your work!

Yes, HMF was targeted by spammers for some reason. It took a while to sort out but we're okay now.

Hallelujah! Great job, thank you! "Your" absence was like having an arm in a sling. VERY conspicuously absent!

Oddly, the problem affected the email problem reporting software too so we were unaware initially. We were delayed by a need to rebuild the database as well as updating the system software to prevent a future occurrence. Looks good now. Our thanks to everyone for their patience.
