While I've had kitchen gardens for years, my first experience with roses was about 5 years ago when we bought a house in Albuquerque with established roses. I had no idea how to care for them but they survived me, and I learned to love them.

A year ago we moved to Virginia and, this spring, I planted my first rose, an OGR R. wichuriana X from Monticello's Center for Historic Plants. Then another rose, and another, and...it's now mid-October, comfortably cool, and I just planted # 10 & 11. I think I may be addicted...
