You should have received your confirmation email immediately. Sometimes HelpMeFind emails are flagged as spam by overly cautious email anti-spam software. Check to see if you have "spam" folder for your email and look there.
You can also use the "RESEND CONFIRMATION EMAIL" link found on your member page. Click the orange MY HMF ACCOUNT button at the upper right to view your member page.
