I agree. I'm about to pull it. It has no scent, I don't care what they named it. This rose by any other name would have no scent.

Hi! Just out of curiosity, have you ever had your genes sequenced? For example, by 23AndMe.com? If you have, you can run it through the Promethase engine (https://promethease.com/ondemandlicense) and it will tell you if you have a genetic variant that disallows you to smell β-ionone, a floral fragrance. I have this variation (in rs6591536, also known as N183D or Asn183Asp) and a lot of the roses that some people say are very fragrant, such as JFK, smell like plain old florist roses to me. On the other hand, I can still enjoy roses like Chrysler Imperial, Mr. Lincoln, Angel Face, and Julia Child.
It would be very interesting to me if this is the case, you might have just saved me from spending a lot of money on a rose I can't smell.

Mine is definitely highly fragrant. Even in raining 55F weather, it is.

I LOVE this rose. It is flourishing and producing tons of huge beautiful blooms, with less thorns than many. The fragrance is moderate and delicious. I have it in full sun, it is in a well irrigated location, and I do nothing but give it a dose of Rose Tone at the beginning and the middle of the season. It has proven quite disease resistant (it is located near another rose, which is prone to black spot and seems pretty immune). I am far from an advanced rosarian, and this has be a huge success for me.

Ours is so sunburned that the leaves are dropping off. Has not produced a bloom since March, and it is now June 26th, 2014. This one is a huge disappointment given all the praise, and the beautiful pictures. The shovel is on its way to this one.

Very easy to grow. Produces loads of big red roses. Mine has some black spot issues, but thrives anyway.

This is a really beautiful miniature rose. Without pruning it grew way over 36 inches, which I've read isn't rare, but it should be cut back because growing that tall reduces bloom. I found it always laden with red and white striped flowers. I never had a problem with it, not even black spot, until I moved it from a full sun (8 hours) to a partial sun (5 hours) location, I then got one good flush and then it just died. My fault, I wish I'd left well enough alone.
