Born in Australia but raised in Southern California. I am the daughter of the 'great Dee Bennett', world famous mini rose hybridizer. I grew up with roses, exhibited roses for more than 13 years before taking over my Mom's nursery Tiny Petals Miniature Roses in 1986. I retired from the nursery in 2002 and eventually moved to Nevada from 'sunny' Southern California. I was a consulting rosarian for the ARS for more than 25 years. I have traveled all over the USA, giving hundreds of talks on the subject of roses and exhibiting. I authored 2 books..."How To Kill A Mini Rose...Or Not" and "The Hardware Hunter's Guide To Exhibiting Roses".
I currently live in a small, high desert community where I still grow roses, including many of my favorite mini roses, big roses and a few Austins.
