Hi there, I am new to helpmefind and I was hoping someone might be able to help with identifying a rose cutting I was given from my Grandmothers garden after she passed away two years ago.(Aged a wonderful 95 and a terrific gardening inspiration!)  I was told the rose was Silver Lining but from all pics I have seen of this rose it is quite different. It is more like Double Delight in shape, size, fragrance and colour except instead of red it is dark pink.

Growth is quite vigorous and to about 1.2m tall on a very healthy bush and flowering is not continuos but repeats very quickly.

I have attached some photos if someone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Regards

Yvonne.

Hi I was hoping someone might be able to help me to confirm or otherwise identify this rose I was given a cutting that came from my 95 year old Grandmothers garden.  She passed away recently and I was told it was Silver LIning (Hybrid Tea) but from most pics I have seen it doesnt look the same.

It is very fragrant and similarly in shape and flower size to Double Delight except dark pink not red. The bush is very healthy and quite vigorous and grows to about 1.2m.

Thanks in anticipation

It may be Spellcaster.

Thanks for your reply. I think Spellcaster is more mauve than my rose, and I dont seem to have the ruffled edges to the petals.  I think its similar to Olympic Torch but it isnt supposed to have much fragrance, where my rose does.

I think this is Fragrant Mauve. Originated in India( Horticaltural Arena).

Hi, I am having trouble with the search for roses. I have tried name searches - even on roses I know are listed and nothing comes up. Can anyone help? I know I can go into the alphabet listing but sometimes I like to just type in the rose name. It has always worked before so I am unsure why it wont work today.

Regards Yvonne.
