[1901 - 2000] Brian Porter from Canada writes that Dr. A.J. Porter was internationally known for his lilies and was also a fruit breeder. He died in August 2000 at the age of 99 and owned Honeywood Nursery at Parkside, Saskatchewan. Dr. Porter selected and named some native roses including 'Parkside' and 'Shellbrook', although neither is in commerce.
