Though classed a shrub this rose builds so well we feel it belongs with the modern climbers. Its flowers are very HT-like, coming in small clusters, beautifully spiraled blooms of dark scarlet crimson with a silky sheen, overlaid with an orange glow. Long lasting, with a slight, fruity scent.
Color: True Red
Rebloom: Good

Repeat Blooming Large Flowered Climbers.
Agatha Christie. ['Ramira'].  Kordes 1988.   'Ramira' is the proper name for this rose;  a floribunda introduced in 1966 already claims the name  'Agatha Christie'.  Very large, double blooms of light strawberry pink with a refreshing scent.

Large silky pompons of light pink, beautifully formed with large, buttoned centers. This has been a taller grower for us than many Gallicas. This variety was lost to us in 1996, but in 2002 Joyce Demits gave us a beautiful plant of it from her collection. We are indebted to Joyce for so many roses, but we particularly thank her for this very rare Gallica, originally given to us by Barbara Worl who imported it from the Roserie de l'Hay in Paris.

Huntington Brocade Synonyms: (Variegata di Bologna Rouge)

”Huntington Pink tea” [“Mistress Bosanquet”, Nancy Lee?].  T. rrr / fff / 3. unknown, found.  [Provenance Huntington]
Beautiful as the Mistress is, this is not she, but perhaps even more beautiful.  Pale pink, quartered, muddled blooms from spiraled buds.  Like a pale ‘Rhodologue Jules Gravereaux’ in floral form.  Of note, this rose recently came to us from Malcolm Manners as ‘Nancy Lee’, a hybrid tea of 1879 from Bennett.

Mistress Bosanquet B.  rrrr / f / 1.   Laffay 1832.  [Robinson found]
Compact and supremely beautiful, a ghostly slate pink, fragile of form.  This compactly growing Bourbon might be taken for a Tea rose but for its greyish bloomy foliage and upright flowers.

“Romaggi Plot Bourbon.  [Angels’ Camp Bourbon”]. B.  rrr / fff. Unknown, found. [Wilkinson/ HRG [Heritage Rose Gardens, Ca.]   A stunning mystery rose; small Tea rose sized flowers of soft pink clouded with pale amber.  The color is difficult to comprehend, and therein lies its attraction.  It is a great bloomer with a delicate, deep fragrance.  Compact and light of cane.

From website - "An old and intriguing HT of soft straw-pink, opening wide and full of petals. Very leafy sepals add to the beauty of buds and open flowers."
