At the risk of being repetitive it must be emphasised that roses do not naturally transmigrate lattitudinally because their polarity is aligned longitudinally (Fig. 5). The question arises, how, when and where did Rosa fedtschenkoana from China get to breed with Rosa moschata x Rosa gallica from Europe?
