As the name suggests, the flowers of the Black in Black rose are very dark. The nearing-black hue of the guard petals extend to the petals’ edges as they are exposed to sunlight. This creates a striking contrast with the glowing dark red centre. The rosettes, which are mostly born in solitary, are medium to large in size and very full. The blossoms stand upright on a well-behaved, narrow 3′- 4′ rose plant. The foliage is dark green and semi-glossy.

The Cool Cats rose, a Palatine variety, produces clusters of mauve blooms with a hint of pink on the outer petal edges. The flowers are flat and small-to-medium in size, and full in form. As the oblong buds open to the flat flower form, the tips of the petals reflex, making little points. The over-all impression is very pixie-like. You can expect Cool Cats to be a prolific bloomer throughout the growing season. The plant is upright and 4′-5′ in height, and has been used as a cut rose. In Southern Ontario this rose benefits from some support against black spot later in the growing season.

The Kaleidescope Girl rose, a Palatine-bred variety, smiles at you with her large and bright semi-double blooms. Her clusters of yellow high-centred buds open to flat, warm yellow flowers, with an overlay of generous hot pink speckles. Each of her blooms is a unique play of colour! You can expect Kaleidescope Girl to be a bushy plant reaching 3′- 4′ in height with dark green, mat foliage.

The Mme Jean rose is a Palatine-bred climber, named after former Governor General Michaëlle Jean. This rose features large clusters of soft apricot-coloured blooms that are old-fashioned in form, very full, large, and slightly cupped. These blooms have a faint pink variegation. You can expect this upright climber to reach 6′-8′ and can be used on a trellis and pyramid-type structure alike.

Pearl of Niagara  Back! Pearl of Niagara grows beautiful creamy white flowers with a warm yellow undertone. These large scented blooms are full, old-fashioned, and display a slightly scalloped edging as they open. True to its name, Sunset Dreams grows bright apricot-orange flowers with pink edges. The blossoms are medium to large, frilly, and old-fashioned growing in large clusters. Sunset Dreams is a compact 2' - 3' rose bush with lovely dark green leaves. Propagated on hardy Rosa Multiflora rootstock. All roses have been grown and tended in our family-owned rose nursery.
