(1911) Page(s) 18. 'Empress of China' There is no other Rose like it that will bloom for so long a time. It is simply wonderful. When it first opens, the flowers are a beautiful red, but soon turn to a lovely light pink, and it blooms so profusely as to almost hide the plant. It is perfectly hardy and a vigorous grower.,
(1900) Page(s) 17. Luciole An excellent variety. A grandly beautiful rose. The flowers are extra large, somewhat cupped form, but quite full and double; color clear cherry red, with rich golden yellow center, elegantly shaded, delightfully perfumed. In the open ground this lovely variety makes a strong quick growth, producing its flowers remarkably early and continuing to bloom profusely throughout the season.
(1911) Page(s) 5. ‘Mme. Segond Weber’. Rosy-salmon, one of the grandest novelties of recent years; the bud is long and pointed, opening into an enormous bloom which deepens its color until fully expanded, when it is as impressive as an American Beauty; a fine, strong grower.
(1911) Page(s) 5. 'Mrs. Harold Brocklebank'. Creamy-white, center buff, outer petals frequently tinted salmon-rose. The blooms are large, full and fragrant.
