Rosa Damascena Miller....officinalis Séringe. Officinal Rose. Rosa myropolarum Duhamel. R. bifera macrocarpa Thor. She is characterised by her size, especially by the numerous and large prickles, the numerous dense pink, very strong and pleasantly fragrant blooms and long fruit. The French know it under the name Rose de Puteaux, and she is the one which is used preferedly in perfumery.- Related to her are Rosa lepida Waitz or R. Francisca of the nurseries.
