Cemetery was established in the 1820s. As Venissieux was an important rose-growing centre in the 19th century, the family tombs of Schwartz, Pernet & Pernet-Ducher, Croibier are found here. Also Jeanne and marie Drivon, to him roses have been dedicated, are buried here. Recently, a small rose garden including roses of Schhwartz, Ducher, Pernet and Pernet-Ducher has been established in the cemetery.
