Gorgeous photo but I am confused by the description which says it's a dark red bloom. The parents are also red.

Yes Jay-Jay, I agree, this particular image does look like Freisinger Morgenrote but some of the other photos show a fuller petaled bloom which FM does not have. Hopefully we'll be able to get an ID confirmation soon because it is a beautiful rose!

Sue,
I am only guessing the identity of the rose because I have not grown it, but I think the photo should have been uploaded the the 'Belvedere' shrub by Tantau, introduced by Rosen Tantau in 2002 which is described in MR 12 as orange-pink. Yes, it's a beautiful photo. What do you think ?

Yes, these should be moved to Tantau's Belvedere.

Ah ha, mystery solved! Of course if there were restrictions on using the same name more than once, there kind of errors would not happen, oh well.

I think that I found the solution of the mystery: That Hof Pallenhoven or anonymous-815488 uploaded photo's for Belvedere and not Belvédère: see picture: http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=2.41661.0 and the description. As You say Calif Sue a beautifull rose, fuller petalled and when it is healthier than Sunrise/Freisinger Morgenrote; one rose to recommend!!!
