It's a very different rose, but very worthwhile to grow. It easily roots from cuttings.

good to know!i've just planted mme hardy and it seems she and duc de guiche are almost impossible to root from cuttings.

thank you,but perhaps i wasn't clear enough:I've just planted mme hardy and duc de guiche as grafted plants from francia thauvin and loubert,so hopefully they have taken root.I'll remember what you write in case i want to multiply them,but I think i should start with easier roses.My Grace cutting has rooted and so has one from Gruss an coburg.I don't know if that qualifies them as easy to root.Fist time i've attempted to root cuttings too.
