What fantastic foliage! Is it always like that?

JC's foliage does get a little worn-looking later in the season, as we have a long growing season here. But her foliage stays looking good for a long time, and virtually never has even a trace of fungal disease.

Thanks! Seems like a top quality rose. The only thing left wishing for is self-cleaning. I saw from the various rose trials this years that there are a lot of new yellow roses similar to JC coming out shortly. Particularly from Kordes. But I could not see anyone which had the same strength and length of stems, holding up the flowers as beautifully as JC.

In my experience, Julia Child is self-cleaning. Especially after the first spring flush, the ground beneath her is loaded with petals. I think I have a picture of that. I'll find it and post it sometime soon.

Yes, it fades, then holds for a long while, but it does eventually self clean.

Even better! Well then, no reason to hesitate. Thanks, Carolyn. Looking forward to seeing that image.

You're welcome Fredrik. It's an excellent rose. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Note to administration,
I think "Self Cleaning" would be an excellent characteristic to add to the ratings list.
It's a very important characteristic for garden roses.
Thanks, Robert
