Article (magazine) (Jan 2020) Rosa × archipelagica is a spontaneous hybrid between Rosa rugosa and R. maximowicziana distributed, together with its parental taxa, on the coast of a small Stenina Island in the Peter the Great Gulf, the Sea of Japan (Russian Far East). Its hybrid origin is confirmed by direct electropherogram comparisons of PCR products and maximum likelihood analyses of nuclear ITS 1–2 and plastid intergenic spacers trnH–psbA and ndhC–trnV. The plastome markers indicate R. maximowicziana as the maternal genome donor of Rosa × archipelagica, however, one specimen shows also signs of heteroplasmy
Other (1998) A new for science intersectional hybrid is decribed as Rosa archipelagica Tchubar = R. rugosa Thunb. x R. maximowiciana Regel.

Magazine (1997) Page(s) 67-69. Includes photo(s). p. 69 A new hybrid Rosa archipelagica Tchubar (Rosa rugosa Thunb. x Rosa maximowicziana Regel) in characterized by a combination of morphological traits of paternal species: leaves wrinkled, bright; thorns scattered, varied in length, shape and hardiness; inflorescence corymbose-paniculate, with 8-12 white-rose flowers, (4)4.5-7.4(8) cm in diameter, pistils slightly compressed in column, free, pubescent; stems stout or horizontally sarmentouse. The population of R. archipelagica at littoral terrace was found to consist of several dozens of specimens. I think the following were transliteration errors: hrostratus = prostratus densa = dense pudescentibud - pubescentibus imparipinnata = (correct, but a little obscure for "odd-pinnate") ahice = apice pudescentis = pubescentis supraglabrata = supra glabrata rudidus = rubidus ? I still can't make sense of cormdosiformes.
On p. 68 there seems to be an illustration, but the Google snippet view only shows the caption, and more Russian text I can't read.
