I’ve had this rose in my garden in a large pot for 1 year. I do not recommend it in a pot- not only is it a large shrub but it is a water hog & I can’t seem to give it enough water, at least in my hot southern climate. Blooms look best with a few hours of shade but it can tolerate full southern sun. This is a large bush- over 5 feet wide for me and 3 feet tall. Does well with being cut back. Very beautiful petal packed blooms- I tried to count the petals but I got tired of counting at 150. It has a mild-moderate fragrance, it’s not one that I seek out to smell. I would call this rose ‘heat tolerant’ as it continued to bloom in our record heat this year (over 100 every day for 3 months) but the blooms were affected by the heat in terms of size & petal count- although they kept their vibrant color. The foliage is relatively healthy; it does blackspot as does every rose in my humid no spray garden but it’s not to the point that I have to completely defoliate. I would definitely recommend this rose- just give it plenty of room to grow.
