This was a heavily featured rose at my Home Depot in Albuquerque NM this year, every time I went, they seemed to have scads of them in a 3-gallon size for $24.95. I bought one and planted it in a 20 inch barrel and cut all the blooms off, as I wanted the plant to root. It took about 3 weeks to settle in, and then took off and has been a continuous bloomer ever since, all through a blistering hot summer. This thing was NEVER without at least 15-20 blooms. They held well in the heat, and last a long time on the bush. I had lots of predominantly red ones, with SOME white on them, and about 30 percent dominant white, with the red edging. I believe that the bush will have more dominant white as it matures (I hope so!). The red is intense and electric, very bright. This bush seems to be in the school of a scent-less Double Delight, but a floribunda version, and less of a HT form as regards the flowers. The vigor and health are outstanding. There was zero blackspot, but it's hot and dry here, and BS isn't a problem for the vast majority of my roses. (and I do not spray). It's just a go-go-go rose. As I container garden for the moment, I don't know what the in-ground performance is, but it's probably even better than in the pot. Overall, I give this bush high marks.

I've had this one for a couple of years. Everyone seems to love the flowers, though it's not my favorite. Mine does tend to blackspot here in Mississippi pretty frequently, though it trucks on with a lot of blooms. I do not notice any fragrance on it. It is a pretty vigorous plant, which is a plus. I'm indifferent to it, but because it blooms a lot and everyone else seems to love it...she stays.

This will be my second year with White Lies. Last summer it had an incredible production of flowers and as I recollect, was disease-free. The flowers make a beautiful transition from white to a saturated magenta-red, and were long lasting. There were several strong flushes through the summer and early fall, though with less in the fall. I highly recommend it. It has almost no scent, but its beauty and mass of production makes it worth it. I should also note that it was in partial shade for most of the day, getting perhaps 3-4 hours of direct sun. I note the comment about having a strong scent like fresh peaches. I will monitor this year to see if that changes for me.
