First three pics are from first flush in July- very firm, fragrant, beautiful blooms, with crisp swirly centres like strawberry Viennetta icecream. Bottom right- bloom from second flush (first year). Totally different, not nearly so attractive. Same happened in a friend's garden. Beds, England.
