The description given of Rosa 'Peter Boyd' on HMF is incorrect. The flower colour is actually deep pink/purple with pale backs to the petals and it is reliably repeat-flowering from Spring until the first frosts. It is very close in appearance to a true Scots Rose with a high percentage of European Rosa spinosissima genes but repeat-flowering, unlike most Scots Roses. The parentage of Rosa 'Peter Boyd' given on HMF is incorrect and inconsistent with the appearance of this cultivar. The parentage given on HMF is not what I was told in confidence by Knud Pedersen.
