Good rose but not fun to work with. Keep it out of pathways. It's a real ankle biter.

Now that I have had it for a few years and it's fully mature, I'll review it. I just finished winter pruning it to the ground
The cons: The major con is the prickles. Its basically a miniature scots rose, despite not being related. It's a prickly, winding little b******. It's VERY un-enjoyable to prune. The other con is that it's not an improvement on Knock Out's color. It's still carmine, despite having a halfday of red.
The pros: It has all of KO's health and gets rid of minor diseases KO had. Even the wood is clean. Its very recurrent, it's more double than KO, and the plant is below knee-high. Due to its recurrency, there is no need to prune it during the growing season. However, it DOES set hips, but they don't seem to impede rebloom.

This one has been pretty good so far. will keep an eye out for how long the basals can get.

Have you had yours long enough to know whether or not it sets OP hips, Michael? I just received mine yesterday. I hope it does better with resistance than some of the other OSO Easy varieties that I have.

No: Remember I'm in a rain forest climate. I start later and finish later. However.......... very clean plant! I tested it out by crowding it on purpose. (My favorite method). With that said, we had a wacky winter and summer, which is resulting in lower BS ratios than typical. However, it should have spotted by now, so it at least probably to possess good horizontal resistance.

Glad to learn that it is clean for you so far. If you can comment later about any hip production I'd appreciate it. Thanks Michael.

This one was very clean for me during a season with heavy BS and mildew. I received it midway through the summer. There is a large hip that set and I hope it will have enough time to ripen. Based on my observations this season I'll be using this as a parent both ways next season.
