I don’t understand the lack of love for this rose. It is absolutely gorgeous and would do well on the show bench! One of the better recent introductions from J and P, the plants are vigorous and well branched. It roots easily, so I recommend burying the budded graft under the soil line. Perhaps it’s the uninspired pictures from the J and P marketing department that have hamstringed BD’s success. The largish high centered blooms are reminiscent of Touch of Class with a more complex phototropic pink coloring. It has a medium strength rosy perfume and regularly produces single stems as well as small candelabras (#5-ish buds). I hope more people discover this gem before it soon disappears from the J and P sales catalog!
