Thanks Johno. This is the distributor’s code not the breeder’s code, but I have added it in the hope that it will help find the breeder one day.

Become convinced that it is an attempt to muddy the waters. Even the wording on the label (introduced to Australia) leaves one to query if the rose is actually WA bred (14May 2015 reference). What an unfortunate history for such a young rose. Its original release year was 2013. Thanks Patricia.

There is a lot of mud about this rose. I didn’t think it was introduced under the name of ‘Rolf Harris’ because of the sex abuse scandal, but now I see Gardenarium were listing it. I do think it was quickly whizzed off the market under the name of ‘Rolf Harris’ and I think it better to leave it as being introduced in 2015 as ‘Supernova’. I have added unknown breeder, before 2013.

That would be correct, that it was Rolf Harris originally.
Just looked through web archive (it takes snap shots of webpages)
and this is landsdalerosegardens website back in 2013

I agree but down the track there is a need to ensure historical accuracy even if it was only out for one season. This is now covered in the members comments section provided they are not removed in the future. I have a photo of a Landsdale Rose Gardens’ sign with the RH name and the 2013 release date.

Thank you gentlemen. There is a tiny problem in that the HelpMeFind system will not accept the same introducer using two different rose names, but I will double check on that. I have added a Note to the main page.
