I planted two Ringos last summer. They sailed through winter with no issues whatsoever and were among the first roses to bloom this spring. Taken as a whole, Ringo is a nicely rounded shrub with frilly, single, hibiscus-like blooms with a mild scent. It's also incredibly thorny and definitely not a rose I'd cut and bring inside. It's charm is more the effect of the plant as a whole, if that makes sense.

I have OP hips setting on my Ringo. I don't know about pollen fertility yet.
