Meilland France 1953.

David Ruston, South Australia. Roses of Distinction.
'Bettina' is another wonderful rose. Not only does it produce a wealth of flowers but each one is beautifully shaped at all stages from bud to full bloom. The rather soft coppery-orange of the flowers is enhanced by the heavy veining of the outer petals. This rose is often the most admired variety when people are looking at the rose patch. 'Bettina' is the ideal rose for bedding and can be picked out easily in any group of roses.

Alex Ross, South Australia.  Our Twelve Best Sellers.
Bettina has taken a long time to establish itself as a favourite, but during the last couple of seasons it has gone ahead to such an extent that it is now included in our first dozen. Of an orange bronze shade, it seems to glory in the hot weather. Its main fault seems to lie in its short but sturdy growth and it needs to be well grown to give long stems for cutting.
