HelpMeFind's future is in your hands - Please do not take this unique resource for granted.

Your support of HelpMeFind is urgently needed. HelpMeFind, like all websites, needs funding to survive. We have set a premium-membership yearly subscription amount as low as possible to make user-community funding viable.

We are grateful to the many members who have signed up so far, but the number of premium-membership members remains too small for us to sustain the current support and development level. If you value HelpMeFind and want to see it continue we need your support too.

Yearly membership is only $2.00 per month and adds a host of additional features, and numerous planned enhancements, to take full advantage of the power and convenience of HelpMeFind. Click here to start your premium membership..

We of course also welcome donations of any amount. Click here to make a donation. Donations of $24 or more receive a thank-you gift of a 1-year premium membership.

As far as we have come, we feel HelpMeFind is still in its infancy. With your support we have so much more to accomplish.

I got this rose own root from Lens nursery in december 2012 and it thrived...
But this year it suddenly dried out and died. No other mutabilis(-cross) in it's direct neighbourhood died.
In the opposite, those still thrive.

Per email dated today, (February 9, 2012) from Ann Velle of the Louis Lens Nursery, the seedling illustrated on this rose page and Identified as Trier X Mutabilis is the Lens seedling the Velle's have introduced as Souv. de Louis Lens.

Kim, there are some issues with seedling numbers of Lens:
- LLX 8875 is 'Patricia Beucher' = LENdepli according to Ann Velle, however the same rose was LENtrachi during the 2002 Monza competition
- LLX 8886 is 'Plaisanterie' according to Ann Velle, however, the rose with this breeder number is described as "whitish yellow" in the Kassel catalogue and fits to 'Souvenir de Louis Lens'

What do you think?

Hi Jedmar, Happy New Year! You know how easily numbers and seedlings get confused. Fortunately, we have the "expert" still with us who can sort all those things out. I would suggest emailing Ann to ask for clarification. Now it's winter, she may actually have time to help straighten out the confusion.

Happy New Year, too, Kim! Yes, it would be good to have a clarification. I have added all seedlings numbers from Kassel from 1996 and these two create problems.

This sure feels as if it's out of Mutabilis. I've emailed the nursery to inquire.
