David Ruston, South Australia. Roses of Distinction.
A new floribunda—'Vesper' from the brilliant raiser, Mr. E. Le Grice, is a new colour break. It is a definite orange-brown colour on an excellent bush. This colour is somewhat akin to the hybrid tea 'Valencia' when it takes on a much deeper colour during the summer heat. 'Vesper' produces large heads of flowers and is a welcome addition to the garden of the flower-arranger who is looking for unusual colour combinations.
Book  (1973)  Page(s) 61.

Roy and Heather Rumsey, NSW. New Roses.
Vesper (LeGrice). A beautiful flower described as brownish orange, and we are unable to improve on that description. It also has good foliage, and about thirty petals to a floret, and a good cluster. A most beautiful and useful floribunda.
