Bloom:

Golden-yellow, salmon-orange shading. Mild, rose fragrance. 5 to 10 petals. Average diameter 3.5". Medium to large, single to semi-double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Ovoid buds.

Habit:

Arching, few or no prickles/thorns. Glossy, medium green foliage. 3 to 7 leaflets.

Height: up to 35" (up to 90cm). Width: up to 28" (up to 70cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 3b and warmer.

Breeder's notes:

Larry Dyck was the rose breeder at the Morden Experimental Station in 1996. Campbell Davidson was the station manager.

The new variety of shrub rose, ‘CA 33’, was selected by the Inventors from amongst seedlings derived from a cross made in March 1996 between the female parent, ‘Morden Sunrise’ (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 13,969) and the male parent, ‘Ausgold’ (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 8,688). ‘CA 33’ was selected as a single unique plant in September 1997.
