"Jeremiah Pink" rose Reviews & Comments

I believe that this is the same rose that Vintage Gardens sells as "Fairmont Banshee." Does anyone know if this is correct? High Country's website states that they believe that Jeremiah Pink, found at Fairmont Cemetery, is actually the original Banshee.

Jeremiah Pink is the same as the many plants of Banshee I have found in my area (Northeast Pennsylvania.)

This rose makes a beautiful shrub in early summer. The foliage is a lighter green than most albas, and the flower color, a light pink with salmon undertones shows well in photos. It has a more spreading and branching habit than my other albas. I would not be surprised to find that it has very little actual alba genetics, except for the fact that it does share the hardiness and health of that group. Flowers and leaves drop cleanly. There is no Damask crud effect at all.

I don't know if it has ever been compared with "Banshee".

In 2012 TammyY thought it was "Fairmont Banshee". See previous Comments.

I did see that comment. Vintage Gardens had "Fairmount Banshee" during their last year of being in business, and it is now not in commerce at all so far as I know.
