I first saw this rose when I was a teenager, at the Salem Rose Show. Someone brought it in to float in water, by the entrance. They did not exhibit it. And I was smitten. I won several trophies that day, but it was that rose that I still remember.

The color combination is effortless, intricate, and happy. The scent is nice, and the foliage is pretty.

Sadly, the plant is both good and bad. Blackspot and awkward growth, but also very easy to grow.

Maybe someday someone can make a rose like this, with a better plant under it. Some places also sell the climbing version of it.
