Bred by Kelway (and Son) (United Kingdom, 1886).
Class:
Hybrid lactiflora.  
Bloom:
Delicate flesh.  Incurved petals.  Large, full bloom form.  
Habit:
Medium.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Parentage:

Notes:
The 'Princess of Wales' carried by Cottage Gardens Nurseries, and which they donated to Cornell, appears to be some other peony. Possibly this was a confusion with Kelway's lilac-pink 'Prince of Wales', but there were a number of peonies named (and even more that were incorrectly sold as) 'Prince of Wales' and 'Princess of Wales', so this might not be a case of Kelway's well-documented practice of sending mis-labeled plants.
