November 2022. Started from seeds collected off wild plant.
My plant attracts many bees and it also sets hips.
It is absolutely ludicrous to claim that bees would only visit the male flowers because that means the female plants would not get pollinated. What an absurd claim to make and obviously and scientifically incorrect.

Last bloom fading August 4, 2022. Has an extended season of blooming starting a week or two after most roses. Started from collected off wild plant.

Will rust in favourable conditions; has been the only rose in my gardens to get rust, and it's native here.

A male plant of R. setigera. Somewhat larger blooms, very attractive for bees, does not set hips.
