The most red I've had so far. Five to six years old. Own root. Still small, but starting to throw thick basal growth. Reasonably hardy, but the rabbits and other nibblers need to be a little less intense. Nice, medium strength fragrance. Lovely, glossy leaves unfortunately prone to black spot, but this seems to not effect the plant despite occasional nudity in the garden. Modest repeat blooming this season as of August. Notably prickly. Z5b/Sunset 41 South Central Michigan. Bloom from early June 2022.
