Bloom:
Vermilion, carmine-red shading. Strong fragrance. Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form. Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.
Habit:
Height: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm). Width: up to 3' (up to 90cm).

'Rembrandt' in commerce seems to be mislabeled - see References. Heirloom Old Garden Roses says Rembrandt has a rare brick-red color that at times has white markings or stripes... Artist Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn was born on 15 July 1607 in Leiden, The Netherlands. He died on 4 October 1669 in The Netherlands.
